You shouldn’t rely on having an audience to decide whether you will start a blog or not.
Also you don’t need to rely on having an audience to decide whether to continue blogging or not.
If you are a beginner blogger or wanting to be one, it can be a challenge to write something knowing that your post might not reach any audience or might only connect to a few people.
You may also be the only one viewing your post. This can be the case especially if you haven’t buy any domain or is using the free versions of blog platforms.
Ofcourse with time even if you are using the free version, you will still gain some good readers who will continuously view your new blog posts.
I started a blog after years of thinking not to start one. It’s a series of decisions of not starting and finally one decision of taking a move and buying my own domain.
It is a sudden decision that I came up with my domain name in a matter of minutes.
If your goal is to share your blog to the world and impact the lives of people who will choose to read your words then promote your work!
There is nothing to lose if you want to share your work to social media. You can use different social apps that you can download in Google Playstore for free.
I want to emphasize that you don’t need to rely on having an audience in order to start a blog.
I love connecting to people through the comments, shares in social media or responding to tweets. Having an audience or those new friends who support you in your blog posts is definitely awesome.
They can also have a blog site you can visit and read their works too. You are getting to know your fellow bloggers and opening your mind to vast number of people with different perspectives.
If you want to start a blog, do it now. I should have told to myself a decade ago. This is why I also want to talk about it here. I want you to realize that not doing something will take its toll and probably will haunt you for years. Blogging definitely haunts me. It pops up in my mind every time.
If you post your blogs consistently, create something that can bring value to multiple people then be patient. Great things take time. What you are doing now is like planting a seed, you need to constantly out it in a good location where the sun reaches it to share it’s light.
If you are a beginner blogger, don’t stop writing. Your skills will improve as you write more. Your marketing skills will also improve as you promote your own works.
You need to water the plants and let it grow.
You need to post in your blog and let the number of your readers grow.
Whether it’s few or it’s many people waiting for your blog posts, put in the same enthusiasm and joyfully write a blog.
